Here you can register for the exam telc Deutsch B1. This is not the DTZ exam!

We offer individual exam preparation. Without an exam preparation course, we strongly recommend independent preparation for the exam format using the mock exams on the exam provider’s website!

If you would like to take only a partial exam, please send us an email after registration with the scan or photo of the result sheet of your previous exam that you would like to combine with the new exam.

Notes & Rules

The examination takes place at Studio MONDIALE, Schottener Weg 7, 64289 Darmstadt.
The examination centre opens 30 minutes before the examination. Please note the starting time of the exam and please bring your identity card or passport.

If you already have a basic knowledge of German, telc Deutsch B1 is the right exam for you. For naturalization in Germany or an unlimited residence title or settlement permit, telc Deutsch B1 is recognized proof of sufficient language skills.

Learners at level B1 can communicate in a simple and coherent way in writing and orally in everyday life and work, when traveling and in their own area of interest.

Participants solve tasks in all skills. The receptive part consists of reading, listening and language modules. Task types are e.g. multiple choice or assignment. In the productive part, writing and speaking, the participants deal with an input and have to express themselves orally or in writing. In the oral examination, the focus is on the direct exchange between the participants.

This is not the examination Deutschtest für Zuwanderer (DTZ), but a pure B1 examination. Please find out in advance exactly which exam you need.
