Valid evaluation based on the CEFR

The MONDIALE Proficiency Test is an online language examination to assess general German language proficiency. Writing ability is assessed by a writing task. A candidate has passed the test when the test results show that a specific language level has been achieved. Thus the test can also be used to verify language skills at a certain specific minimum level. The proficiency test may be taken 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The only requirements are a computer with an Internet connection and a telephone.

Test format:Proficiency test – language level examination
Online administration on the PC, around the clock
Language Level:Highly-discriminating scale with 14 levels based on A1 to C2 of the CEFR
Structure:30 – 50 (depending on level) multiple choice items covering: grammar, vocabulary and text comprehension
One written task (difficulty depends on the level)
A telephone conversation
Duration:Online – 60 minutes
Telephone – max. 8 minutes
Usage:Evaluation of language skills at a specific level (A-M). Administration at any time for anyone who needs an evaluation of language achievement.
Results:Score – sent by email showing the results in the individual sections and the total score as a percentage between 0-100 % (passed: 60-100 %) as well as an oral notification of the results on the telephone.
